Day 01 : Bangalore - Shravanabelagola - Mysore
Our representative will welcome you at Bangalore (Airport or Railway station or Residence) and drive to Shravanabelagola. Shravanabelagola is one of the most important Jain Pilgrim Centres of India. Shravanabelagola has two hills Chandragiri and Vindhyagiri. The 57 feet world's largest monolith statue of Bhagawan Sri Bahubali (also called as Gommateshwara in Kannada language) is located on Vindhyagiri hill. The statue was installed in 981 AD by Chavundaraya. On arrival, visit the statue and get the divine blessings of Bahubaliji and spend some time on the hill. Then visit to nearest Chandragiri hill and visit few Basadis at the hillock. Then, depart from Shravanabelagola and drive to Mysore. If time permits, enroute, visit to the Brindavan Garden, one of the most beautifully laid out terrace gardens in the world with Musical and dancing fountain as main attraction. On arrival at Mysore, check in to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02 : Mysore - Gommatagiri - Dharmasthala - Moodbidri
Morning, after breakfast, you will check out the hotel and proceed to visit Gommatagiri in Mysore. Gommatagiri is popular for 700 year old statue of Bhagawan Bahubali that is erected atop a 50 meter tall hillock called &pos;Shravana Gudda'. The statue of Bahualiji is 20 feet tall. Visit and get the divine blessings of Bahubaliji and then drive to Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, one of the important pilgrim centers of Karnataka and known for religious tolerance. On arrival at Dharmasthala, visit Chandranathaswami Basadi (Jain Temple) located nearby Nelyadi Beedu (beside Car Museum), then visit Lord Manjunathaswami Temple (Hindu Temple and major attraction of Dharmasthala) and then proceed to visit statue of Bhagawan Bahubali (Gommateshwara). Then drive to Moodbidri, one of the important religious centers for Jains nestled in the nature&pos;s beauty. Moodbidri is popularly known as Jain Kashi because the town houses 18 beautiful Basadis (Jain temples); sacred scriptures of Jainism, the Dhawalas found in their original form on palm leaves 4500 in number. On arrival at Moodbidri, check in to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03 : Moodibidri - Venur - Moodbidri
The third day of your Jain Temple tour package, you are full day free to visit Basadis at Moodbidri and Venur. First (at 6.30 AM) visit Badaga Basadi, the 16 century temple housing idol of Lord Chandranatha. Then visit Tribhuvan Tilak Chudamani Basadi (also called as Thousand Pillar Temple or Hosa Basadi) is richly carved in the Vijayanagar style and is the largest basadi compared to other Basadis in Moodbidri. Then visit other Basadis, Amongst the 18 Basadi, the most famous are Hire Basadi (Ammanavara Basadi), Shettara Basadi, Leppada Basadi, Guru Basadi (formerly called as Parshwanatha Basadi), Derammashetti Basadi, Patashala Basadi, Kallu Basadi and other remaining Jain Basadis. Evening, you will proceed to visit Venur, once the seat of Jainism, known for 38 feet monolith statue of Bhagawan Bahubali built by Thimmanna Ajila in 1604 AD. Visit the statue and nearby Jain basadis and drive to Moodbidri. On arrival, return to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04 : Moodbidri - Karkala - Shirlal - Varanga - Moodbidri
Morning, drive to Karkala, historical place and one of the important pilgrim centers for Jains with 18 Jain Basadis. On arrival at Karkala, visit statue 42 feet monolith statue of Bhagawan Bahubali and get his divine blessings. The Bahubali erected at Gommateshwara betta is second tallest in Karnataka. Then visit the nearby basadis, Hire Basadi, Bala Basadi, Eda Basadi, Chaturmukha Basadi, Matada Basadi, Bommaraja Basadi, Gurugala Basadi, Cham Basadi, Kallu Basadi, Addakeri Basadi, Hallara Basadi, Gururaya Basadi, Abbakkadevi Basadi, Biradevi Basadi, Gummathikari Basadi, Aramane Bsadi, Kere Basadi and Shravana Basadi. Then drive to Shirlal, the beautiful village known for Jain Basadis. On arrival, visit Lord Ananthanatha Swami Basadi and the nearby recently installed statues of Lord Adinatha, Lord Bharatha and Lord Bahubali. Evening, you will be transferred to Varanga, a popular Jain pilgrim center nestled in the nature beauty. This beautiful village houses most ancient and wonderful Basadis. On arrival at Varanga, visit 1200 year old Neminatha Basadi, Chandranatha Basadi and Kere Basadi. Kere Basadi is main attraction of the place and situated in the midst of a gentle green lake in Varanga. It seems like a lotus in a pond. This basadi is also called as Jalamandir and can be reached in a small wooden boat. Tranquil lake contrasts well with the sharp quadrilateral architecture of the basadi and gentle swaying hills at the distance. The Kere Basadi is dedicated to Lord Parshwanath, the 23rd Tirthankara and also houses Lord Shanthinatha, Lord Ananthanatha and Lord Neminatha in Kayotsarga posture facing four different directions. Then return to Moodbidri and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 05 : Moodbidri - Kundadri - Humcha - Shivamogga
Morning, after breakfast, check out the hotel and drive to Kundadri, a beautiful hill station with forest. (Enroute, enjoy the beauty of Agumbe Ghat and nearby Sunset point). Kundadri Hill is a huge monolithic rock formation with various outgrowths and is about 3200 feet above sea level. On arrival at Kundadri, visit Lord Parshwanatha temple located at the top of Kundadri hillock. Enjoy the beautiful and peaceful surroundings and then drive to Humcha, a small and beautiful village located in Shimoga district known for 8 century Jain temple. The holy temple is dedicated to Goddess Padmavathi and known for its cultural and historical heritage. Jain devotees of this holy place are everywhere throughout India and also in foreign countries. Thousands of devotees come to the Humcha, an Athishya Kshetra every year for fulfillment of their desires. On arrival at Humcha, visit Goddess Padmavathi temple and the visit Lord Parshwanatha temple, Marthanda Basadi, Bogara Basadi and Jattigaraya Basadi in the Mutt premises. Evening, drive to Shimoga, on arrival at Shimoga, check in to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06 : Shivamogga - Simhanagadde Jwalamlini - Bangalore
Morning, after breakfast, check out the hotel and drive to Simhanagadde Jwalamlini Temple, located in the beautiful surroundings at Narasimharajapura or NR Pura in Chikmagalur district. Jwalamalini is Yakshini (guardian spirit) of the Eighth Tirthankara, Shri Bhagwan Chandraprabhu in Jainism and was one of the most widely invoked Yakshinis in Karnataka during the early medieval period. The idol of Jwalamalini is miraculous. The desires of devotees get fulfilled here. On arrival, visit the Jwalamalini temple and get the divine blessings of the Goddess. Then visit the other temples dedicated to Lord Chandraprabhu, Lord Parshvanath and Bhagwan Santhinath at Jwalamalini Atishaya Kshetra. Then drive to Bangalore, on arrival at Bangalore, you will be transferred to the Airport or Rilway Station or your residence at Bangalore. Trip ends.
